"HIYAH!" she cries, leaning closer against Flash's neck. They're gaining ground quickly. Sully and his horse are no longer just a faint dot. They come up closer. Michaela's eyes lock with the wild man's. He is so handsome; her heart hurts. She's always thought all swoon-inducing romantic tales were nonsense, but this man makes her feel all those emotions and so much more.
He grins at her. She reaches out, but he doubles speed. She might never catch him on horseback, but she will one day. He wants to be caught. He wants to love her. She already does him.
