Summary: There were gifts Mother Nature could and wouldn't take back, and then there were cheesecake and her girls.

"So?"
Blanche swayed a hip, then collapsed onto the fridge while opening its door. She needed support, but she'd be damned if she'd let the girls know what had really happened! No one was more beautiful than she was, even if there were girls who were younger or had firmer, fuller breasts. She was pretty damn certain that blonde had had a load of surgery done anyway!
"Well?" Rose pressed. She and Dorothy looked at each other, feeling that Blanche's dramatic pause had gone on far too long.
"You can't keep us in suspense like this, Blanche! It isn't fair!"
What wasn't fair, Blanche thought, was that Mother Nature was starting to take back the very gifts she'd given her. Dorothy wasn't going to lose her mind, and Rose wasn't . . . Well, she'd never had much of a mind, but she wasn't going to lose her . . . niceness or naivety. It was too late for even that this late in life. Somehow she'd been born naive and was going to get to die naive, and that wasn't fair either.
In answer to their questions, Blanche quietly brought out the cheesecake. She smiled through tears when she saw Sophia already getting the bowls.
